Job description

General Production Worker Weekend ShiftJoin a growing manufacturing operation as a General Production Worker on the weekend shift, where you will assemble copper and copper alloy components into pressure vessels and heat exchangers, operate industrial machinery, and support increased production capacity in a clean and organized shop environment.ResponsibilitiesFollow production orders, company procedures, and directions from supervisors to prepare parts and assemble components into complete assemblies.Perform mechanical assembly operations using power tools and specialized equipment to produce pressure vessels and heat exchangers.Prepare parts for assembly by grinding, blasting, cutting metals, and performing other required preparation steps.Execute all assembly tasks in accordance with company procedures and documentation while meeting defined quality, safety, and productivity standards.Operate industrial machinery and equipment safely and efficiently as part of the manufacturing and production process.Maintain equipment in proper working condition by performing preventive maintenance as instructed.Use standard hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and cutting tools to complete assigned tasks.Read and work from drawings and diagrams to follow assembly instructions accurately.Propose new methods, procedures, or equipment improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and support a team-oriented work environment.Adapt to changing production needs, including potential future shift changes as operations expand.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED required.At least 1 year of manufacturing or production work experience.At least 1 year of mechanical assembly experience, including working from drawings and diagrams for assembly instructions.At least 1 year of industrial machine operation experience.Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time.Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds.Ability to use standard hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and similar equipment.Ability to understand and work with fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques.Good verbal communication skills.Proactive approach to identifying and proposing solutions.Team-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate with others.Willingness to work other shifts in the future as business needs evolve.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in mechanical assembly and machine operation.Experience in heat exchanger assembly, metal fabrication, grinding, machine operation, and metal cutting.Understanding of production growth schedules and the ability to adapt to a ramp-up environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.Interest in professional growth, leadership development, and expanding technical skills.Why Work Here?You will join an essential and growing business that has doubled production in the last two years and is expanding to multiple shifts with a larger workforce. The role is based on a weekend shift schedule, Friday through Sunday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., totaling 36 hours per week. Employees may be asked to complete training on the first shift, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on a voluntary basis. The work involves regular use of industrial machinery, power tools, and metal fabrication equipment in a production setting focused on copper and copper alloy components.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
