General Shop Laborer-Machine OperatorJoin a growing manufacturing team in Independence, MO as a General Shop Laborer-Machine Operator! Assist machine operators, support production, and learn valuable fabrication and equipment skills in a hands-on environment. Choose from 1st shift (5:30am to 3:30pm) or 2nd shift (3:30pm to 2:00am), Monday to Thursday. Great potential to hire opportunity to learn, grow, and build a career in manufacturing.General Shop Laborer-Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist machine operators with daily production tasks and material handlingLearn to operate manufacturing equipment, including fiber lasers, press brakes, and other fabrication machineryUse hand and power tools safely and effectivelyPerform fabrication and assembly of parts and productsHand pick, sort, package, and prepare finished products for shipmentOperate sanders, soldering equipment, and other finishing tools as neededLoad, unload, and move materials throughout the shopPerform basic machine setupMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all company safety procedures and perform other duties as assignedPotential to train and become certified to operate a forkliftGeneral Shop Laborer-Machine Operator Requirements:Manufacturing or shop experience is preferredMust have machine operating experienceMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processesAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devicesAbility to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and stand for extended periodsStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamIND060 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
