Fairway Leasing, LLC is an independently owned and operated franchise of Aaron's, Inc, operating stores in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the states of Georgia and Alabama serving 19,000+ customers. Franchise Principal, Todd Wilkins, started Fairway Leasing in 2004 and opened his first store in Somerset, Kentucky on April 8, 2005. Fairway Leasing has grown to 22 store locations throughout Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, and an operational support (HQ) office in Northern Kentucky.
Role Description
The General Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Savannah, GA, responsible for leading all aspects of daily store operations. This role oversees team scheduling, coaching, and performance, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies and procedures. The General Store Manager manages inventory, merchandising, and store presentation, while monitoring financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability. Day-to-day tasks include handling customer inquiries and service issues, supervising lease and sales transactions, and implementing loss prevention practices. The role also involves setting performance goals, driving customer satisfaction, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and compliant work environment.
Qualifications
Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a commitment to building long-term relationships.
Effective Communication skills to interact clearly with customers, team members, and leadership, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated Store Management experience, including staff supervision, scheduling, performance management, and operational oversight.
Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, with the ability to apply policies that protect company assets and reduce shrink.
Proven leadership abilities, including coaching, conflict resolution, and team motivation in a retail or service environment.
Basic financial and business acumen, including understanding of budgeting, KPIs, and sales metrics.
Ability to work on-site full-time in Savannah, GA, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as business needs require.
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or relevant certifications in business or retail management are a plus.
Prior experience in retail, lease-to-own, or customer-facing service environments preferred.
