Job description
Location: Nationwide (US)
Flowtec Group is partnering with a leading general contractor to appoint a General Superintendent to lead field execution on large-scale mission critical projects.
Our client is delivering some of the most technically demanding data center builds in the country. This is a senior field leadership appointment with full site ownership — you'll run the job, not report to someone else running it. Relocation support, per diem and bonus sit on top of base.
What You'll Be Doing:
Owning field execution end to end — from mobilization through commissioning, turnover and closeout
Leading and developing site superintendents, field engineers and trade supervision
Driving the construction schedule, managing critical path and building recovery plans before slippage becomes a problem
Holding subcontractors to schedule, quality, safety and manpower commitments
Running daily and weekly coordination with trade partners across mechanical, electrical, structural and controls
Owning site safety culture and enforcing program compliance across every trade on site
Coordinating with owners, design teams, commissioning agents and inspection authorities
Managing procurement and material logistics to keep the field working
Supporting startup, commissioning and turnover documentation through to owner acceptance
What We're Looking For:
10+ years of field leadership on large-scale commercial or industrial construction
Demonstrable experience delivering mission critical projects — data centers, semiconductor, pharma or comparable
Track record running projects at scale, with real numbers on capacity, value or square footage
Strong MEP coordination background — you'll be managing the hardest part of the build
Proven ability to lead large field teams and hold trade partners accountable
Experience taking projects through commissioning and owner turnover
OSHA 30 and a strong personal safety record
Why This Role:
Full site ownership. You'll run the job end to end with the authority to match
Package built for the work — competitive base plus per diem, bonus and relocation support
Large-scale projects with an established contractor that has the backlog to keep good people busy
A market that isn't slowing down. Hyperscale construction is accelerating and experienced mission critical superintendents are in genuinely short supply
Clear route into operations and program leadership for the right person
