Company Vehicle | Year-Round Work | Home Backup Power Systems Are you a mechanic, small engine technician, maintenance technician, or service professional looking for a career with steady work, independence, and great benefits?
No generator experience required. We will train candidates with automotive, diesel, power sports, small engine, maintenance, HVAC, or other mechanical experience. Since 1988, Adams Power has been Wisconsin's trusted leader in home backup power solutions. We're growing and looking for a Generator Service Technician to join our Hazelhurst team servicing residential standby generators throughout northern Wisconsin. This is a field-based position where you'll work from a company-provided service vehicle, traveling to customers' homes to perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on standby generators, primarily Generac®, as well as Kohler® and Briggs & Stratton® systems. No prior generator experience? That's okay. As stated above, if you have mechanical aptitude and experience working on engines, equipment, or mechanical systems, we'll provide training. What We Offer $25-$35/hr starting pay based on experience

What You'll Do Travel to residential customer locations in a company vehicle
Perform scheduled generator maintenance and annual service visits
Change oil, filters, spark plugs, batteries, and other service components
Diagnose and repair generator performance issues
Inspect generator systems to ensure reliable operation during power outages
Complete service reports and customer documentation
Communicate findings and recommendations to customers
Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
Participate in manufacturer training programs

Qualifications Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Experience servicing engines, equipment, vehicles, or mechanical systems preferred
Ability to work independently and manage a daily service route
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Previous generator experience is a plus but not required
