Generation Service TechnicianAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.The Generation Service Technician has safety, customer satisfaction, and business responsibilities within data center operations. The person in this role is responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, diagnosing and providing quality repairs of electrical generator systems and related engine mechanical failures. As both a technical expert and primary customer support liaison, the Generator Service Technician is responsible for maintaining consistent communication with clients to ensure an exceptional customer experience while maximizing data center availability. All necessary tools and equipment will be provided by AWS.NOTE: Amazon does not sponsor for immigration, including for H-1B, TN, and other non-immigrant visas, for this role. NOTE: Lump sum stipend will be provided to eligible candidates who relocate for this position.Key job responsibilities:Adhere to and promote all company safety protocols, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.Actively engage in accident prevention initiatives and contribute to ongoing safety improvement efforts to foster a culture of workplace safetyTravel within an assigned region to designated sites and perform professional quality field service repairs consistent with company standardsKeep Generator Service Manager continually apprised of current priorities to assist in answering customer questions and problems when necessaryAction requests for procurement of needed materials to perform assigned dutiesDocument detailed, complete and correct descriptions of all repair operations performedAccurately record time, expenses, and mileageLift up to 40 lbs; pushing and pulling a maximum force of 40 lbsWear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and provided by AWSA day in the life:The Generator Service Technician has safety, customer satisfaction, and business responsibilities within data center operations. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
