nJob Description:
nResponsibilities
nnnEvaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions
n
nnConduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations
n
nnPerform consultations, follow-up visits, and routine outpatient evaluations
n
nnProvide inpatient GI consult support and rounding as needed
n
nnOrder, interpret, and communicate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results
n
nnDevelop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
n
nnEducate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and preventive care
n
nnCoordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services
n
nnDocument patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
n
nnParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development efforts
n
n nQualifications
nAPRN Requirements
nnnMaster's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
n
nnCurrent Florida APRN license or eligibility for licensure
n
nnNational board certification as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)
n
nnCurrent BLS certification
n
