Join Our Team
We're looking for an energetic, customer-focused Gift Shop Store Manager(s) to lead HCA Houston Healthcare hospital gift shops. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving sales, leading and developing your team, creating an exceptional shopping experience, and building strong relationships with our hospital partners. Choose the Option That Works Best for You
Option 1: Two Store Managers; 1 for each location below
31.25 hours per week
Monday–Friday
7:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
One Store Manager assigned to each store
Great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent weekday schedule
Option 2: One Dual Store Manager; oversee both locations below
40 hours per week
Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Responsible for overseeing and supporting both stores
Ideal for an experienced manager who enjoys variety and leading across multiple locations

As a valued partner of the hospitals we serve, all candidates selected for employment must successfully complete any required hospital occupational health screenings and onboarding requirements before beginning work. Employment is contingent upon successfully meeting all applicable hospital onboarding and occupational health requirements.
What You'll Do
Lead the daily operations of the gift shop.
Drive sales performance while communicating goals and results with your team.
Recruit, train, coach, and develop store team members.
Create employee schedules that provide excellent customer service while managing labor costs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
Execute visual merchandising, product displays, and seasonal promotions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, hospital requirements, and infection prevention standards.
Oversee cash handling, register reconciliation, bank deposits, and financial accountability.
Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with hospital leadership, departments, and volunteers.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous retail store management experience required.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Comfortable handling cash and managing daily financial processes.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of a retail environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to motivate others and build positive working relationships.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of retail operations, cash handling, and merchandising.
Basic math skills and proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Ability to analyze sales performance and drive business results.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of the position.
