Accountant Position
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $75,000 to $85,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Record monthly journal entries and ensure accuracy in general ledger postings.
Prepare financial statements and assist with monthly reporting and analysis.
Compile financial packages for internal stakeholders, including branch leadership and board members.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and monitor cash deposits daily.
Support tax reporting by preparing sales tax filings, CRV reports, and property statements.
Requirements:
Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting tasks with minimal supervision.
Proficient in using automated accounting systems and online banking platforms.
Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
Intermediate Excel proficiency, including functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timely reporting.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline.
Prior experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external collaboration.
Comfortable working in a team environment and providing coverage for related roles.
Familiarity with fixed asset tracking and depreciation systems.
