JobSummary
Our Gourmet Chefs areinvolved in all aspects of the day-to-day Central Kitchen/MarketDistrict operations. They are responsible for food preparation,food quality, merchandising, customer service, and food safetystandards. In addition, they are responsible for maintainingconstant food education of associates and customers, and constantlywork to increase profitability and promote futuregrowth. JobDescription

ExperienceDesired: Advanced Culinary Degree, Bachelors Degree;
CulinaryAwards or accreditation;
Food SafetyAwareness
Education Desired:Associates Degree
Certification orLicensing Required: Serv-Safe Certification aplus
Lifting Requirement: Up to 50pounds
JobResponsibilities
Actively support aculture of safety which includes, but is not limited to, foodsafety, Team Member safety and customersafety.
Display a commitment to learn aboutfood and share food knowledge with fellow Team Members andcustomers.
Actively demonstrate appropriatesuggestive selling techniques, and provide active samplingopportunities, when appropriate.
Activelyparticipate in, and promote, an environment which embracesdiversity, inclusion, and respect for Team Members, Customers,Vendors, and the Community.
Maintain a safeand clean working environment by ensuring that all Food Safety,Food Holding, Temperature, and OSHA standards aremet.
In conjunction with the KitchenManager/Prepared Foods Manager, manage inventories weekly. Preparefood ingredients, and products that allow for efficient managementof the business. Assist Department Manager with monthly inventorytaking process.
Meet or exceed budgetedguidelines for food cost percentage. Minimize product waste andensure that production is followed strictly on a day-to-daybasis.
Maintain accurate department records toensure documentation of activities isavailable.
Participate in the preparation andproduction of catering and all food areas.
Monitor adherence to Company policies, procedures, and standards toensure the Company requirements are met.
Follow strict recipe and merchandising guidelines to ensure thatcompany direction is followed.
Participatewith the business group in quarterly reviews and training sessions,and other functions at Management'sdiscretion.
