Government Guaranteed Loan AssistantFirst Service Bank, proudly recognized as one of Arkansas' Best Places to Work for seven consecutive years (2020–2026), is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused, and highly organized Government Guaranteed Loan Assistant to join our team serving the Mountain View or Greenbrier Arkansas market(s). If you're within 30 miles of the mentioned markets (or willing to relocate), we want to hear from you. This role will support our Government Guaranteed Lending team across the bank's footprint.In this specialized role, you'll play a vital part in supporting our Government Guaranteed Lending team by assisting with the origination, processing, documentation, and servicing of SBA, USDA, and other government-guaranteed loan programs. Working closely with lenders, borrowers, and third-party partners, you'll help ensure loans are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with bank policies and government program requirements. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute directly to helping local businesses, agricultural operations, and communities access the financing they need to grow and succeed.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Enters and maintains data on the system for new, renewed, and modified loansHandles ongoing loan requests, including new loans, renewals, modifications, and extensionsWorks directly with Loan Operations & Loan Officers so that loans are processed accurately and efficientlyWorks with customers to obtain required loan documentationClears loan exceptions weeklyGathers documents needed for annual loan reviewsAdministers and services active loansAssists with the processing of loan payments, payoffs, and advancesMaintains a working knowledge of bank loan policy and federal and state banking regulations, as neededThe successful candidate will possess at a minimum the following:High School diploma or GEDComputer literacy with high proficiency in MS Word and ExcelWorking knowledge of web-based technologyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbally and in writingStrong organizational skillsDetail-orientedExcellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyService-oriented skill setThe following are preferred, but not required:College degree in related field(s)Prior experience in loan operations, loan processing, or credit administration for a bank or credit unionWhy You'll Love Working with Us:Be part of a professional team that values excellence and innovation.Work in a supportive and engaging atmosphere where your skills will shine.This position comes with a first-class, comprehensive benefits package, including:Employee medical, dental, vision, life insurance, cancer insurance, and long-term disability insurance for less than $75.00 per month!Clothing stipends to keep you looking sharp and professional.Professional and personal development opportunities to help you grow and advance in your career.Tuition reimbursement to support your educational goals.Tuition discounts and partnerships with select local universities, including Central Baptist College, to support your continued growth.First Service Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
