Program Representative - Emergency Management Job in Colfax, WA
Whitman County is seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Program Representative for Emergency Management to join our team in Colfax, WA. As a cornerstone of the local government, Whitman County is committed to serving the community with integrity, transparency, and excellence. This full‑time opportunity offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting the Director of Emergency Management and contributing to vital county services, including Emergency Communications, the Palouse Empire Fair, Parks, and Developmental Services.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of essential administrative and financial tasks. Your day‑to‑day duties will include generating claims, managing payroll processes, preparing reports, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with county policies and codes. You will also serve as a key point of contact for vendors, county employees, and the public, making strong communication and organizational skills a must.
We are looking for candidates with at least two years of progressively responsible experience in customer service, clerical, bookkeeping, or accounting roles. However, a combination of relevant experience, education, and training will also be considered.
