nWhile working as a Grad Intern under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to each patient. This includes but is not limited to:

n nPrimary Roles and Responsibility:
nA key component of the Grad Intern role is keeping your customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs. Additionally, you will:
nnnLead with Heart - display empathy and compassion for your patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues on your team
n
nnSupport your Pharmacy manager in motivating, inspiring, and developing their Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments that maximize colleagues' strengths, address development opportunities, and decrease knowledge gaps
n
nnIdentify critical business opportunities and meaningful solutions to drive growth and improve performance in your pharmacy and work toward successfully implementing those solutions by leading your team to achieve specified goals
n
nnAdapt to change and adjust plans to thrive in a dynamic community healthcare setting
n

n

n nEducation:
nnPharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
n nRequired Qualifications:
nnnPharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
n
nn0-3 years prior relevant work experience
n
nnMust possess or be in process of obtaining a valid Pharmacist intern and/or technician licensure as required by state BOP
n
nnStrong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
n
nnComplete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
n
nnAbility to:
n
nnHave regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
n
nnBe mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
n
nnLift, scan, and bag items
n
nnFinger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm
n
nnReach overhead; able to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
n
nnExtend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
n
nnPrecision control: able to adjust machines to exact positions
n
nnStoop to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions, including bending spine at the waist
n
nnVisual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
n
nnAble to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
n
nnOccasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
n
n nAbility To:
nnnObtain required pharmacist licensure within required timeframe per state guidelines
n
nnHave regular and predictable attendance including nights, weekends and holidays
n
nnComplete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
n
nnComplete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines
n
n nPreferred Qualifications:
nnnImmunization eligibility
n
nn3-5 years prior relevant work experience
n
nnProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
n
nnOnce state regulations are met, Grad interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function
n
n nPay Range
nThe typical pay range for this role is:
n$23.75 - $42.00
