Grade ForemanFred Smith Company is currently searching for an experienced Grade Foreman for our Greenville location. We are a heavy civil contractor working in the commercial site work, public infrastructure and asphalt markets in North Carolina.Basic Duties:Responsible for the safe and efficient management of the crew and equipment on all assigned projects.Maintain all logs, daily reports and ensure that all time records are accurately entered each day.Ensure that personnel and sub-contractors are complying with company safety policies and procedures.Perform daily JSA meetings with the project teams and conduct weekly Toolbox Talks.Assist and direct crews in the use of equipment and resources.Manage quality of work, productivity and costs associated with the project.Maintain good relations with the public, engineers, inspectors and the customer.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Foreman with experience on Commercial and DOT jobsPrevious self-perform experience with grading and site work operations, water/sewer/storm drain construction, asphalt pavingExperience with plans and crew and equipment schedulingValid drivers license with positive driving historyMust be authorized to work in the USAAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screenBenefits:Fred Smith Company provides a comprehensive benefits package including:Competitive PayHealth, vision, dental, short term, long term, life insurance401k with matchPaid Time OffHoliday PayWinter time benefits including STABLE Pay program with hourly minimums for eligible classificationsSafety IncentivesCareer development opportunities and on the job trainingFred Smith Company is dedicated to the achievement of equality of opportunity for all its employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, marital status, age, national origin, disability, veteran status or any other protected group status under federal, state or local law.
