Job description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of middle school students as a certified social worker in a dynamic educational environment near Chicago, IL. This full-time, onsite opportunity is well-suited for compassionate professionals who enjoy working directly with students in grades 6-8 and value building strong collaborative relationships with staff and families.
In this role, you'll manage a manageable caseload of 35 students, providing essential social work services to those who need it most. Utilize your expertise to support students' social-emotional growth and contribute to a positive school climate by facilitating individual and group sessions, collaborating with educators, and advocating for student needs.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement (required)
Experience working with grades 6-8 preferred; knowledge of K-5 and 9-12 grade-level concerns is a plus
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to effectively manage IEP documentation, data collection, and report writing
Passion for helping students achieve their full potential
Responsibilities: Deliver direct and consultative social work minutes to students
Collect and analyze data for progress reports
Complete IEP paperwork for annual reviews, initial meetings, and reevaluations
Work closely with school teams to implement IEP services
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
