Grading ForemanLocation: Kernersville, NC Company: LeoTerra Siteworks Employment Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Grading Foreman to lead and oversee grading crews on site development and civil construction projects. This role is responsible for supervising daily field operations, coordinating manpower and equipment, ensuring proper grade and site preparation, and maintaining a safe and productive job site.The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on grading experience who can read plans, manage crews, and deliver projects on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and direct grading crews on site development projectsInterpret blueprints, site plans, and grade stakesCoordinate equipment, manpower, and materials for daily operationsEnsure rough and fine grading is completed to proper elevations and specificationsWork closely with project managers, superintendents, and surveyorsMaintain production schedules and meet deadlinesEnforce company safety policies and OSHA standardsConduct daily safety meetings and job site inspectionsTrain and mentor crew membersPerform hands-on equipment operation as neededQualifications5+ years of grading and sitework experiencePrevious foreman or supervisory experience preferredStrong understanding of site development, drainage, and soil compactionAbility to read and interpret construction plans and elevationsExperience with GPS machine control systems preferredStrong leadership and communication skillsValid driver's license required (CDL preferred)Physical RequirementsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to walk job sites and navigate uneven terrainAbility to lift 50+ pounds as neededJob BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth, vision, dental, and life insurance benefitsPaid vacation and holidaysOpportunities for career growth and professional developmentEqual Employment OpportunityWe are an equal opportunity employer and consider all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by law.
