Job description
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Nurse Residency Available: Mercy Springfield offers a year-long Nurse Residency Program tailored to the specialty area in which each nurse is hired. All graduate nurses participate in the program, along with select experienced nurses based on their individual experience and professional development needs.
Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends. Full time and part time available.
Sign-on bonuses and benefits:
New Grad $5,000 Sign-on bonus for nightshift only~1-2 years’ RN experience
Sign-on bonus $13,000 for nightshift only~3-4 years’ RN experience
Sign-on bonus $15,000 for nightshift only~5+ years’ RN experience
Sign-on bonus $20,000 for nightshift only~ Up to $20,000 Loan Forgiveness for new grad nurses
Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 per year
Relocation & differential benefits:
~$3000 Relocation Assistance for full time only
Weekend Differential
Shift Differential for qualifying hours between 3pm-7am
Weekend Option Days: WEO rates + weekend differential
Weekend Option Nights: WEO rates + weekend differential + straight night shift differential
New Increased Weekend Option Differential: $10.00 RN
Day-One comprehensive medical, dental & vision insurance
PTO/Vacation Time Frontload Up to 80 Hours for Experienced RNs for full time only

Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program. Licensure:
Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. All of our nurses are ACLS certified.
4A Cardiac Unit focuses on CHF, Chest pain, drug load, pre CABG, pre TAVR, Angio with stents, BKS, AKA and med/surg overflow patients. Telemetry Monitoring. Pacemaker/ICA Care. Post Angio Care.
