nOswego County Opportunities (OCO) is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Grant Financial Manager to help ensure the financial strength and sustainability of programs that make a difference throughout our community.

nIn this role, you'll oversee budgeting, financial reporting, grant compliance, and fiscal operations for a diverse portfolio of programs and funding sources. You'll partner closely with program leadership, executive management, funders, and state agencies to ensure critical resources are managed effectively and aligned with organizational goals.

nWhat You'll Do

nnnDevelop and manage annual operating budgets, grant budgets, and long-range capital budgets.

n

nnMonitor financial performance and provide ongoing budget analysis and forecasting.

n

nnPrepare financial reports and analyses for program staff, agency leadership, and executive management.

n

nnEnsure compliance with grant requirements, contract terms, GAAP, agency policies, and federal, state, and local regulations.

n

nnReview and reconcile revenue, expenses, payroll allocations, and assigned accounts.

n

nnConduct financial reviews and audits of grant expenditures and records.

n

nnIdentify financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to improve outcomes.

n

nnCollaborate with funders, state agencies, and internal stakeholders on fiscal matters.

n

nnSupervise and mentor finance staff.

n

nnApprove purchases and expenditures in accordance with contracts and internal controls.

n

nnSupport the development and enhancement of financial systems, processes, and internal controls.

n

nnPerform other related duties as assigned.

n nWhat We're Looking For

nQualifications

nnnBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

n

nn3-5 years' experience in accounting, budgeting, grants management, financial reporting, or financial analysis.

n

nnExperience within human services, nonprofit organizations, or grant-funded environments is preferred.

n

nnEquivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.

n

n nSkills & Experience

nnnStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.

n

nnExperience building, monitoring, and analyzing budgets.

n

nnKnowledge of grant compliance and contract requirements.

n

nnAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.

n

nnStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

n

nnExcellent written and verbal communication skills.

n

nnAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

n

nnAbility to work independently while collaborating across departments.

n

nnCommitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and continuous improvement.
