nPrimary Function
nThe Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, developing and delivering innovative designs/solutions for a wide range of projects including print, web, multimedia and digital publishing.
nDuties & Responsibilities
nWork closely with clients and creative leads to develop unique concepts and designs to support the institution's key messages
nSupports the overall efforts of the creative solutions team; collaboratively executes innovative creative projects
nMake creative decisions based on written scripts or input from client, and ensure quality-control and consistency on final projects
nHandle multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring high quality of work - with a strong attention to detail
nPrepare design presentations and offer storyboarding to help illustrate complex themes or plans
nPrepare formatted final layouts for print or digital output
nSupport all members of the design team in the completion of creative work
nProactively participate in any other initiatives (i.e. documenting processes, creating training manuals, client consultations)
nMaintain accurate project time recording
nSkills & Qualifications
nExpertise in designing print and web products
nExcellent typography and layout skills, and the ability to execute sketches or designs developed by creative leads
nStrong creative, organizational and problem-solving skills
nEffective communication skills (face-to-face and written)
nExcellent time management skills
nMust be self-motivated, demonstrating initiative and focused determination
nCreative and detail-oriented
nProficient in Adobe Creative Suite design software - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat. After Effects experience preferred
nProficient in Microsoft Office products, in particular Word and PPT
nExperience with Adobe Workfront preferred
nEducation & Experience
nBachelor's Degree in Graphics Design or equivalent field
nMinimum of 3 years of experience creating print and digital projects in a professional setting
