Full-Time Family Assistant/Nanny Needed In Dublin

32 hours guaranteed
7:00am-3:00pm
2 weeks paid vacation
1 week sick pay
Paid Holidays
Pay $30 -$35

This welcoming and busy family is looking for a proactive Family Assistant/Nanny to become a trusted and valued part of their household as they prepare to welcome a new baby in December. With two children, ages 5 and 7, the family is looking for someone who can provide dependable childcare while also helping make everyday family life feel more organized and manageable.
The position will begin around October, with flexibility for the right fit, and will be full-time Monday through Thursday. During the school year, the day will include a combination of family assistant duties, errands, and family support, along with school transportation and after-school care. School drop-off and pickup are a major priority, as well as getting the children to activities and helping them transition smoothly through their afternoons. Once the children are home, the focus shifts fully to engaging childcare, including snacks, homework, play, and keeping their routines on track. During school breaks and summer, the role will naturally become more childcare-focused as the children spend additional time at home and attend camps and activities.
The family is hoping to find someone warm, nurturing, trustworthy, and genuinely excited to become part of their family. They also value someone who enjoys the Family Assistant side of the position and takes pride in making a household run smoothly. Responsibilities may include children’s laundry, keeping uniforms and bedrooms organized, daily tidying, resetting the kitchen, dishes, grocery pickup, occasional errands and returns, and keeping household supplies stocked. They’d ideally like someone who is comfortable cooking a few meals each week for the family and helping with some postpartum meals for Mom after baby arrives. Occasional dog walking, meeting deliveries or contractors, and keeping track of household projects may also be part of the role.
The family already has professional cleaners, a landscaper, and a dog waste service, so they are looking for someone to handle the everyday details that keep everything running between services. Most importantly, they want someone who is proactive and self-directed—someone who can walk into the home, recognize what needs to be done, and take care of it without needing to be given a list.
As the family welcomes their newest addition, they have planned support in place during the early newborn months, with newborn care becoming part of the role around February.
