Job description
Grind OperatorWe are seeking a Grind Operator for 2nd shift. This position is responsible for operating grinders, including running at least two grinders when needed, while producing quality parts efficiently and safely. The Grind Operator will make minor machine adjustments, follow quality procedures, inspect parts, complete production documentation, and maintain a clean and safe work area.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Grind Operator Details:Temp-to-Hire position$16.40 to $17.90 / hourFull Time work availableSecond Shift (Monday through Friday from 03:00pm to 11:00pm)$16.40 to start (includes a $0.75 shift premium)$16.90 at 30 days$17.40 at 60 days$17.90 at 90 daysOperate grinders and adjust machine settings as neededInspect parts visually and with measuring devices to meet blueprint specificationsSupply raw stock, move finished production, and transport parts to the next processMaintain coolant/water levels and follow cleanup proceduresComplete paperwork and enter SPC/statistical data into company systemsFollow Quality Management System procedures and work instructionsMeet blueprint and production rate requirementsProperly tag product and ensure accurate system entriesFollow operator, setup, quality, inspection, maintenance, and layout instructionsGrind Operator Qualifications:Knowledge of blueprints, gaging, and job-specific equipmentHigh school-level education or equivalentManufacturing experience preferredSlip resistant Safety shoes required.Comfortable lifting 40 pounds repetitively and 75 pounds occasionally.Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employmentWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
