Whether your journey lasts two days or two years, your contribution matters.What You'll Do as a Grinder Operator:Machine Setup & Maintenance: Operate double disc grinders, make required machine adjustments, change grinding wheels, carriers, and rails, and maintain proper fluid levels and additive mixes.Quality Control & Inspection: Check parts continuously while the machine is running for finish, thickness, flatness, and defects. Record inspection results on checksheets, and inspect, sort, or rework nonconforming parts.Quality Enforcement: Exercise the authority to stop production when quality issues arise, notify supervisors or Quality personnel of defects, and prevent recurring quality problems.Material & Waste Handling: Stack, load, and unload parts from the machine, and clean up, remove, and properly recycle grinder swarf.Digital System Reporting: Use the Plex Manufacturing Cloud system to accurately report production, scrap, and downtime data.Safety, Leadership & Flexibility: Work safely, maintain a clean and organized work area, guide crew members on proper job execution, and assist other departments when the grinder is down.Skills and Experience1-2 years experienceHands-on experience setting up, operating, adjusting, and performing component changeovers (wheels, carriers, rails) on double disc grinders.Proficiency in continuously inspecting parts for thickness, flatness, and surface finish defect identification using precision measuring tools and inspection checksheets.Proven judgment to halt production, report nonconformities, sort/rework parts, and execute corrective actions to prevent recurring quality issues.Ability to maintain machine fluid levels, chemical additive mixes, and safely handle, clean, and recycle grinder swarf.Strong commitment to 5S workspace cleanliness, safety protocols, cross-departmental flexibility, and guiding crew members on proper operational procedures.BenefitsWeekly pay$5 prescription drugs$5 doctor's visit copaysFree teledoctor serviceFree counseling servicesLife insurance includedVision insurance includedDental insurance includedVacation and holiday payScholarship Opportunities401(k) retirement planFree legal servicesOur unbeatable employee discount programApply today with ?nin Staffing Morristown—your next opportunity is just a click away!
