Spot WelderOur client is a family owned, highly respected Sheet Metal Fabrication Company in the Seymour area. We are seeking a Machine Operator/Spot Welder to join our team!Job Category: Full-Time Reports To: Operations Manager Shift: 1st ShiftWill train, some machine operator experience a plusWork Hours: 7:00 to 3:30 Monday to FridayPay Rate: $18.50Job Summary: Works on various jobs to join, connect and/or overlap metal parts at small points by application of pressure, heat and electric current.Essential functions:Spot weld metal parts together using a resistance spot weld machineInspect each piece for defects using a straightedge, template or other measuring tool(s) to ensure part conforms with specificationsCoordinate with department supervisor to ensure quality of work and that all applicable work orders are being addressed in order as neededMove product to and from different areas as needed; the use of manual hand trucks and hydraulic assisted hand trucksMaintain a clean work area and keep up supplies needed to complete daily work, including the removal of electrodes for proper cleaning and dressingOther duties may be assignedQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
