Job description
Groundskeeper – JLLAs a Groundskeeper at JLL, you'll play a vital role in creating and maintaining exceptional outdoor environments at our commercial properties. This hands-on position combines landscape artistry with technical expertise, where you'll be responsible for transforming and preserving aesthetically pleasing, functional outdoor spaces that enhance property value and tenant satisfaction. Working closely with property management teams, you'll execute their vision for outdoor spaces while delivering outstanding customer service. Your work directly contributes to JLL's reputation for excellence in property management and creates welcoming, well-maintained environments that our clients and their tenants take pride in.What your day-to-day will look like:Maintain pristine lawn areas through mowing, edging, and aerating to ensure well-manicured grass that enhances curb appealPerform landscape maintenance including trimming hedges, pruning trees and shrubs, and weeding gardens to uphold high aesthetic standardsInstall, maintain, and repair sprinkler and irrigation systems, including programming controllers and replacing components as neededCultivate and enhance garden areas through planting, fertilizing, mulching, soil conditioning, and appropriate pesticide applicationClear debris from sidewalks, roofs, entrances, parking lots, and outdoor seating areas while power washing surfaces to maintain cleanlinessPrepare outdoor spaces for seasonal weather conditions through weatherproofing and securing outdoor itemsComplete general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, furniture repairs, and moving equipment to support overall property operationsUpdate work order status in real-time using CMMS systems and submit daily receipts to ensure accurate record-keeping and workflow managementRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent educationMinimum 2 years of hands-on experience in groundskeeping or exterior property maintenanceDemonstrated ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectivelyPhysical capability to perform outdoor manual labor in various weather conditionsPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with CMMS systems such as Corrigo, 360 Facility, or similar work order management platformsKnowledge of irrigation system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance proceduresFamiliarity with proper herbicide and pesticide application procedures and safety protocolsExperience providing customer service in commercial property or facilities management environmentsBasic understanding of horticulture, plant care, and seasonal landscape maintenance best practicesLocation: Wilmington, NCWork Shift: 08 Hour Day - 1st Shift/Morning ShiftThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
