Job description
Grounds WorkerTo perform necessary tasks to maintain grounds around district facilities and on district sites so they are safe, neat, and attractive.Education/CertificationHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredValid Class "C" Texas driver's licenseSpecial Knowledge/SkillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in grounds care operations.Knowledge in the safe operation of grounds care equipmentMajor Responsibilities and DutiesPerform tasks as assigned by the Grounds Foreman. Assist the Foreman and other grounds workers as necessary.Maintain good attendance, safety, and driving records.Perform work in a neat, orderly, and safe manner.Operate power driven ground maintenance equipment.Inform grounds foreman of any hazardous situations noticed while working on school grounds and sites.Remove hazardous objects from grounds and sites while performing duties.Plant, trim, and feed trees and shrubs as needed.
