Groundskeeper 3 - MilledgevilleJoin Team Georgia and impact lives everyday while receiving a robust benefits package designed for every stage of your career!Agency: Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental DisabilitiesShift: 7:30am-4:30pmCompensation Details: $31,027.36Job Description:Under broad supervision, maintains grounds in an attractive and orderly condition by trimming lawns, removing leaves and debris and other related duties. Operates and maintains grounds equipment as necessary.Duties:• Cares for establish lawns• Decorates gardens with stones and plants• Disposes of trash and debris• Hauls or spreads topsoil, and spreads straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place• Makes improvements to walks, lanes, shreds, and benches, including Painting and minor repairs• Mixes and sprays or spreads fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders• Mows and edges lawn, using power mowers and edgers• Plants seeds, bulbs, foliage and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools• Provides preventive maintenance pertaining to grounds area and/or state cemeteries or park facilitiesPreferred Skills/Qualifications:Two (2) years of job-related experience and valid driver's license; or one (1) year of experience at the Lower-level Groundskeeper 2(FES01) or a position equivalent.Employment Requirements To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees, individuals and communities we serve, certain positions within DBHDD may require evaluations, vaccinations, professional licensure and certifications.
