Athletics GroundskeeperPay Grade Days/Months Hourly Minimum AX2 238 days $13.02TITLE: Athletics Groundskeeper STATUS: Non-Exempt/(At-Will)REPORTS TO: Field Manager TERMS: 238 DaysDEPARTMENT: Athletics PAY GRADE: AX2PRIMARY PURPOSETo keep district's grounds in such a state of maintenance that they enhance the total educational program without presenting problems or interruptions to the educational program.QUALIFICATIONSEducation/CertificationHigh School diploma or GED (preferred)Special Knowledge/SkillsAbility to read and understand operating instructions Ability to operate lawn care equipment Valid driver's license and able to drive a district vehicleExperienceGeneral experience in grounds maintenanceWORKING CONDITIONSMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental FactorsModerate walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside, inside and around moving objects or vehicles. Exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals (herbicides and fertilizer), loud noises. Frequent district-wide travel. Ability to lift and transport 70 pounds a distance of 10 feet without assistance.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES1. Assist with maintenance and cleanliness of district grounds and athletic fields.2. Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of lawn equipment, such as blowers, weed eaters, and power washers.3. Assist with trash pick-up throughout the district.4. Assist with equipment maintenance and repair.5. Assist with moving furniture, equipment, records, etc., from one location to another.6.
