We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and service-oriented Groundskeeper/Porter (Part-Time) to join our team and play a key role in maintaining a clean, attractive, and welcoming environment for our residents and guests.What You'll Be DoingAs our Groundskeeper/Porter, you'll help maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and curb appeal of the community while supporting the maintenance team with daily operations. Key responsibilities include:Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, common areas, parking lots, breezeways, and building exteriorsPerforming routine groundskeeping and landscaping duties such as mowing, edging, trimming, planting, watering, and debris removalOperating landscaping equipment, power tools, and vehicles safely and effectivelyAssisting with pool area maintenance, including cleaning, trash removal, furniture arrangement, and seasonal preparation activitiesPerforming pressure washing and cleaning of walkways, buildings, and other community areas as neededInspecting exterior lighting throughout the community and replacing bulbs as neededAssisting with apartment make-ready activities, including trash removal, basic repairs, inspections, and preparation of vacant unitsSupporting maintenance team members with general maintenance tasks and community projects as assignedIdentifying and reporting safety concerns, maintenance issues, and property damage to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community ManagerFollowing OSHA standards, company safety policies, and all operational proceduresPromoting a positive, safe, and welcoming community environmentPerforming other duties as assignedWho You AreWe're looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining beautiful communities, enjoys working outdoors, and values teamwork and customer service. The ideal candidate will have:Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, maintenance, janitorial, or related experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED preferredAbility to operate landscaping equipment, power tools, and other grounds maintenance equipment safelyStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high community standardsExcellent customer service and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work independently while contributing positively to a team environmentBasic math, reading, and writing skills requiredStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyAbility to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment or maintenance issuesAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasksAbility to work overtime and flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededValid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation requiredWhy You'll Love Working With UsWe believe in taking care of our team just as much as our residents.
