El Conquistador Golf Club Full-Time GroundskeeperEl Conquistador Golf Club, located in Oro Valley, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Groundskeeper! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Summary: The Groundskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Must possess the ability design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf courseExperience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferredMust possess the ability to create spray programs for the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscapingMust possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operationsAbility to give oral and written instructionsSkilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovationMust be dependableResponsibilities:Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facilityMows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areasWaters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional waterRepairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as neededGrades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairwaysTrims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower bedsApplies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf coursePerform other duties assigned by supervisor or managerBenefits & Other Compensation: This position includes eligibility for the following benefits, subject to applicable plan terms:Healthcare Benefits – Medical, Dental, and Vision coverageRetirement Benefits – 401(k) with employer match (19 years of age and older)Time Off – Paid time off (PTO) and leaves of absence, in accordance with applicable law and eligibility criteriaEligibility for benefits and the specific terms, conditions, and offerings are governed by the applicable plan of documents and company policies, which may be amended at the Company's discretion.About Troon: Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Troon is the world's largest professional club management company, that specializes in services in golf, hospitality, and residential communities.
