Guest Services SpecialistAir General, a third-generation, family-owned, national cargo handling company and passenger services provider, is looking for a professional Guest Services Specialist.Our Guest Services Specialists work to assist our clients and greeters within our Passenger Service Program. Strong applicants will have prior experience with airlines or travel agencies, superior problem-solving capabilities and be detail-oriented. Since 1961 Air General has gone above and beyond to maintain long-lasting relationships with our employees and our clients.If you are interested in a career with an industry leader that promotes a diverse and inclusive culture, one where employees feel valued and respected, and are encouraged to contribute their unique perspectives, please consider joining us!Job Responsibilities:Manage all email and telephone bookings during the assigned shift.Ensure Concierges are assigned to all events.Follow up prior to events with each Concierge.Ensure Concierges provide full report after completion of each event.Accurately record all events in the booking system so all information is ready for billing purposes.Make decisions to assist the Concierges in the field during unusual circumstances.Assist the Manager with administrative details as necessary.Support the Manager in the quest to serve the customer and attract new business.Support the Manager with data entry when required.Requirements:High school diploma or GED - advanced degree preferred.Must be at least 18 years of age.Candidates must possess some intermediate computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office programs.Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions.Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks, applicable Custom Security Seal, and post offer drug screens.Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Professional and courteous.Warm and willing to assist.Flexibility.Possessing superior problem-solving capabilities.Ability to respond well to difficult situations.Emotional resilience, able to handle pressure and meet timelines.Must display a diplomatic demeanor.Must take ownership and be accountable for results.Ability to work without immediate supervision.Able to work as part of a remote team.Must be flexible to work variable shifts.Must be able to juggle calls and assignments.Must be detail-oriented and follow through on assignments to completion.Prior airline, travel agency or airport experience desirable but not necessary.Benefits Offered:Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Health and Flexible Savings Accounts, etc.Paid Time Off and Sick TimePaid Parental Leave401(k) Retirement Plan and Roth after 6 months, company match after 1 yearLife InsuranceTuition Scholarship ProgramCompany Emergency Loan ProgramEarned Wage Access - offered through TapcheckTuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Air General is a third-generation, family-owned, US-based, nationwide Air Cargo and Ocean Cargo handling company, as well as a provider of Passenger and Traveler Services.
