Job Opportunity***This is a 2nd shift opportunity, Monday - Thursday 4pm - 2:30am******2nd shift is eligible for an 8% shift differential on base pay****** Effective June 1, 2026 Sign-On Bonus: $3000. Paid out: 1st half 30 days, and 2nd half in 60 days once on Modern's payroll.***Duties & ResponsibilitiesHand finish a wide variety of metal parts and castings for the aerospace and semiconductor industriesUse hand and power tools to grind, sand, clean, break edges, and deburr parts in preparation for further finishingKnowledge & AbilitiesProficient in the use of deburring and hand-finishing tools including right angle grinders, die grinders, orbital sanders, and air pens (manual and power)Knowledge and use of calipers, torque wrenches, helicoil, keensert, and Lee plug installation toolsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED required0–3 years of hand finishing experience preferredAbility to read and comprehend English preferredPhysical RequirementsSteady hand-eye coordinationAbility to lift up to 30 lbs.Ability to stand for extended periodsAbility to twist/turn upper body as neededClose vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus requiredMust wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all timesAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
