Hand Grind & Polish TechnicianDo you enjoy hands-on manufacturing work where precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail make a visible difference in the finished product? StaffBuffalo is partnering with an established advanced manufacturing organization in Buffalo, NY to hire a Hand Grind & Polish Technician, offering $20.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with tools, reading blueprints, and producing high-quality finished components in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.As the Hand Grind & Polish Technician, you'll be responsible for deburring, grinding, cleaning, and polishing machined steel and aluminum components according to engineering prints and customer specifications. You'll use a variety of pneumatic and hand tools to achieve required finishes, install Helicoils and Keenserts, and carefully inspect your work to ensure components meet established quality requirements.The ideal Hand Grind & Polish Technician is dependable, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, but this position is also a strong opportunity for someone with the right mechanical foundation who wants to expand their skills through hands-on experience and cross-training. You'll work within an organization that values quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement while gaining exposure to other areas of the manufacturing operation.This is a full-time, onsite position in Buffalo, NY.Key ResponsibilitiesDeburr, grind, and polish machined steel and aluminum components according to blueprints, customer specifications, and established quality requirements.Operate pneumatic and hand tools safely and effectively to remove burrs and achieve specified surface finishes.Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and work instructions to ensure components meet required specifications.Install Helicoils, Keenserts, and related inserts into manufactured components as required.Clean and wash completed parts while inspecting work for quality and accuracy.Follow established safety procedures, PPE requirements, company policies, and ISO standards.Cross-train and assist within other manufacturing departments as needed to support production requirements.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Approximately 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and pneumatic tools.Ability to read and understand blueprints, prints, and customer specifications.Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce consistent, high-quality finished components.Basic computer knowledge.Ability to follow established safety procedures and properly use required PPE.Dependable, organized, and willing to learn and cross-train in other areas of manufacturing.Experience operating overhead cranes is preferred but not required; training will be provided.BenefitsCompetitive compensation of $20.00–$23.00/hour, depending on experienceComprehensive employee benefits packageHands-on training and professional developmentCross-training opportunities throughout manufacturing operationsOpportunity to develop additional technical and mechanical skillsStable, team-oriented manufacturing environmentLong-term career growth opportunitiesThe advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting that our client would be willing to pay for this position.
