Brown & Church, a division of Tom James Company, is an American-made neckwear company that produces ties, bow ties, and pocket squares by hand in North Carolina. Established in 1976, the company has a history that includes the legacy of classic neckwear brands like Keys & Lockwood. They emphasize their artisan production, high-quality materials, and connection to American manufacturing heritage.We are seeking a Hand Seamstress team member to support our various hand sew operations. Ideal candidate will consistently contribute to the overall excellence that will meet or exceed customer and team objectives. This person should enjoy working in a production environment, independently, as well as working with other associates in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation to accomplish goals.ResponsibilitiesAccurately follow work orders to meet customer / product specificationsFocus on precision first and then paceQuality check work for neat seems and correct stitchingAbility to identify flaws/variations in different patterns and color identificationMust be able to handle materials such as cotton, silk, viscose, wool, nylon, etc.Work with team members to coordinate work flow and resolve issuesKeep work area tidyEssential Skills and RequirementsManual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationAttention to detail and consistencyAbility to perform repetitive motions and sit/stand for long periods of timeKnowledge of different stitches, fabrics, and quality standardsAbility to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment$13 - $13 an hourTom James / Brown & Church is an industry leader, and we have grown steadily every year we've been in business.
