Job Title: Hardware Engineer(Junior or Mid-level)

Company Overview : Integrated Solutions for Systems (IS4S) is a fast-growingdefense company at the forefront of developing innovative solutions for thewarfighter. We use applied research and development combined with novel systemsintegration to enhance capabilities of our armed forces.

Position: ElectricalEngineer (Junior or Mid-level)

Location: Auburn, AL

Job Type: Full-time

JobDescription: IS4Sis seeking a junior or mid-level Hardware Engineer (Electrical and/orMechanical) with expertise in designing custom electronic enclosures withcomplex wiring harness, MIL-Spec connectors, and custom-embedded systemprocessing to support military and government applications. The successfulcandidate will play a key role in the design, development, and sustainment ofcomplex test systems for PNT (positioning, navigation, and timing) and avionicsapplications.

Applicants must clearly state citizenship andany active clearance in a cover letter or on the resume.

Responsibilities:

Designand develop embedded, high-speed electronics for sensing, communication, andother equipment.

Conductfeasibility studies, analysis, and simulation for new hardware designs,ensuring compliance with military standards and requirements.

Collaboratewith cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanicalengineers, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.

Generatedetailed hardware specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts for advancedhardware boards, custom electronic enclosures, and wiring harnesses withmil-spec connectors.

Performprototype testing, troubleshooting, and validation of avionics systems usingthe designed equipment.

Stayabreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvementsand innovations.

BasicQualifications:

Bachelor’sor master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

Proficiencyin relevant tools and software for schematic capture, PCB layout, andsimulation (e.g., Altium, Cadence, SPICE).

Familiaritywith laboratory equipment: Oscilloscopes, power-supplies, signal generators,spectrum/network/logic analyzers.

Familiaritywith military standards and specifications related to electrical hardwaredesign.

Excellentproblem-solving and analytical skills.

Effectivecommunication and collaboration skills.

U.S.citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

PreferredSkills:

Experience withElectromagnetic interference and compatibility (EMI/EMC) principles

Understanding of electronicsthermal management

Coding skills with Matlab,Python, and/or C++

Design and analysisexperience using industry standard tools (COMSOL, ANSYS, Matlab, Python, etc)

Experience with avionicssystems
