Your primary responsibilities include:Sales Direction: Assist in leading and motivating the sales team to achieve departmental sales goals while promoting a culture of exceptional guest service.Team Supervision: Supervise team members to ensure extraordinary customer service is consistently delivered, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to store operations, especially in the absence of the Hardware Department Manager or Hardware Department Assistant Manager.Guest Engagement: Foster a welcoming and positive environment for guests, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to enhance their shopping experience.Operational Support: Assist with daily operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and training of new team members as needed.Qualifications:Retail Experience: Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a hardware or home improvement setting.Customer Service Skills: Exceptional guest service skills with a positive attitude and a commitment to creating a memorable shopping experience.Reliability: Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, with a strong work ethic and accountability.Multi-Tasking Ability: Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Product Knowledge: Knowledge of home improvement and hardware products is highly desirable, with a willingness to learn about new items and trends.Associated Food Stores is an equal opportunity employer.
