This full-time role is based in the Grand Forks, ND, area, delivering refined fuels and gas to CHS customer locations.*This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus. Join our driving team and see just how far your career can take you.Apply now and fuel your future with CHS!Compensation DataThis position offers a starting pay rate of $28.26 per hour, plus mileage at $0.5483 per mile Responsibilities- Operate a semi-tractor and tanker trailer to deliver hazardous energy-grade materials to customer sites in a safe, compliant manner.- Comply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving, including route and hazard awareness.- Load and unload products by connecting/disconnecting loading arms and hoses;
follow all hazardous material handling and transfer safety procedures.- Deliver professional, customer-focused service during pickups and deliveries, coordinate with customers and internal teams.- Prepare delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports;
record accurate electronic logs.- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections;
submit maintenance reports and escalate repair needs and equipment issues promptly.- Immediately notify leadership of incidents, near misses, spills/releases, or safety concerns;
execute required response and reporting procedures.- Support related tasks such as equipment hookups, site readiness checks, and assigned dutiesMinimum Qualifications (required)- Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)- Valid Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required- 2+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience- Must meet age requirement- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.Additional Qualifications- Demonstrated experience hauling hazardous materials- Demonstrated safety performance and consistent adherence to procedures in hazardous materials operations.- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills;
interact professionallywith internal teams and customers.- Demonstrated experience completing tanker product transfers (loading/unloading) and related documentation in a regulated environment.- Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings, which may include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse.Physical Requirements- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds- Ability to safely climb in and out of truck cabs and to the top of a tanker trailer- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions;
travel and time away from home as required by the schedule- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in environments with regular exposure to hazardous materials.CHS offers a competitive total rewards package.
