Description:
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for an open position.
The need arises from ongoing recruitment for physician positions.
The expected start date is as soon as possible but is flexible.
The duration of the need is ongoing.
Orientation consists of one day with one to two days for shadowing.
All candidates must be Emergency Medicine Boarded.
Candidates with Primary Care experience will not be considered.
Case logs are required for credentialing.
The facility has ten ER bays and one triage space.
The expectation for patient volume is approximately 1.6 patients per hour.
The patient mix is mostly low acuity with occasional higher acuity cases.
The facility is not designated as a Trauma Center, though the main facility is a Level 2 center.
There is nurse and APP triage available for lower acuity cases.
Shift lengths are 12 hours for both AM and PM shifts.
Coverage is needed for both AM and PM shifts.
Physician staffing consists of single doctor coverage with APP support during shifts.
The normal support staff will be in place.
The ED admission rate is approximately 5% or less.
