Job Description
Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician

Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: EM Board Eligible after successful completion of accredited residency or FM/IM with 3 years of experience (for certain facilities only)
License: Valid medical license
Certifications: Proficiency in all emergency care procedures (Central Access, Arterial Line, Lumbar Puncture, Intubation, Pacing, Orthopedic stabilization, etc.)
Description:
The position involves working in an emergency medicine setting.
The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center.
There is no call requirement associated with this position.
Shifts will primarily consist of day and night schedules.
The emergency medicine physician will see a variable patient population depending on the time of day.
The average patient census can vary based on location, typically around two patients per hour.
Common cases include abdominal pain and chest pain.
Emergency privileges will be available.
Support staff includes APP coverage based on shift and time of day.
The facility also has an EM residency program and APP training program.
This role anticipates staffing shortages and aims for an immediate start, lasting until further notice.
The physician will be responsible for handling emergency cases in a fast-paced environment.
There is no specific call or rotation schedule for this position.
Documentation of case logs may be required.
Orientation will occur on the first day.
