Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician

Must-Have: Extensive experience required if not ABEM certified
Description:
Position duration needed is 3-6 months.
No Advanced Practice Providers will be considered.
Expectations for orientation include 2 shadow shifts.
Candidates with any specific fellowships, certifications, procedures, or competencies are encouraged to apply.
Emergency privileges will be considered.
Standard credentialing requirements apply.
The facility has 11 beds.
The annual patient census is approximately 15,000 to 16,000 patients.
There are about 4-5 daily admissions or roughly a 13% admission rate from the emergency department.
Standard call services exist, including pediatrics.
The patient population is typically young and generally healthy.
This facility is not a trauma, stroke, or cardiac center and handles mainly low acuity cases.
Support staff includes standard emergency department nursing and support.
Labor and Delivery services are located in the hospital but separate from the emergency department.
A pediatrician is scheduled in the emergency department during peak hours.
Follow-up cases will be managed as standard.
Common cases include low to mid acuity, gastrointestinal symptoms, gynecological issues, and pediatric cases.
The average patient census is 30-40 patients per day.
Two emergency medicine physicians and one pediatrician are scheduled per shift.
Standard emergency department procedures will be required.
