Head of Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Location: Colorado, USA
Working arrangement: Full-time, onsite
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Head of AIT to lead a technical team within a growing space technology business.
This is an opportunity for a strong people leader with an AIT background to drive operational improvements, develop teams, and shape processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key responsibilities
Lead and develop a multidisciplinary technical team, including experience of leading leadership profiles.
Oversee assembly, integration and test activities.
Drive operational improvements and establish effective processes.
Build strong relationships across engineering, production, programme management, and supply chain.
Manage competing priorities and gain stakeholder buy-in for change.
Identify challenges, develop practical solutions, and drive them through to completion.
Work closely with senior leadership to support organisational growth.
Requirements
Essential:
Significant people management experience in a technical or operational environment.
Experience in assembly, integration, or test.
Strong stakeholder management and consensus-building skills.
Experience managing managers or developing leadership capability.
A track record of implementing change and improving processes.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
A proactive, adaptable, and hands-on approach.
Background in a startup or scale-up environment.
Desirable:
Experience in the space or wider aerospace industry.
Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering or production teams.
