Job description
Head of Business Development | Leading DeFi Protocol
A leading DeFi protocol is hiring its first Head of Business Development. This is a build-from-scratch role: you'll set the commercial strategy, hire the team, design the process, and personally close the most important partnerships.
You'll own two areas:
New business: finding and closing partnerships with fintechs, financial institutions and other capital allocators.
Account management: keeping existing institutional partners engaged so the relationships keep growing.
You'll report to the CEO lead the business's most important commercial conversations.
What we’re looking for:
Crypto-native with deep DeFi fluency, no learning curve
Track record building a BD function from scratch, not just managing an existing book
Experience personally originating and closing complex institutional partnerships in capital markets or financial infrastructure
Real people leadership: you've hired, managed, and held a team accountable
