About the Role
We're looking for an experienced, highly organized, results-driven E-Commerce Marketplace Manager to lead all aspects of our third-party (3P) marketplace business. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the CEO, with direct impact on revenue, operational efficiency, and the scale of our marketplace business.
The ideal candidate has proven experience managing multiple 3P marketplaces and leading teams in a fast-paced e-commerce environment — someone who can own everything from sales and account health to customer service, returns, and inventory, while building the systems and strategy that support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Report directly to the CEO with regular updates on marketplace performance, KPIs, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
Oversee all third-party marketplace operations across a portfolio of 15+ marketplace channels.
Lead and manage a large team of marketplace employees — coaching, training, performance management, and workflow improvement across the department.
Recruit, train, and mentor team members, building a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Serve as the primary point of contact with marketplace account representatives across our channels to strengthen partnerships, resolve issues, and identify growth opportunities.
Own the overall health of every marketplace account — compliance, standing, and performance metrics.
Manage the full operation: listings and catalog, pricing strategy, inventory, order management, customer service, returns/refunds, and account health.
Develop and execute strategies to grow marketplace revenue, improve profitability, and expand into new channels.
Analyze sales trends and operational data to identify opportunities for growth.
Create and refine SOPs, workflows, and quality-control checkpoints to improve efficiency and consistency.
Build KPI dashboards and reporting systems to track performance and drive accountability.
Identify operational bottlenecks and proactively implement solutions that improve scalability.
Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, operations, customer service, marketing, and executive leadership on cross-department execution.
Evaluate new marketplace opportunities, software, and automation tools to support long-term growth.
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 3 years of hands-on 3P marketplace management experience.
Proven experience managing multiple online marketplaces.
Previous leadership experience managing teams in an e-commerce environment.
Expert-level Excel skills — Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas, reporting, and data analysis.
Experience using AI tools to process and interpret data, and to help build or maintain structured systems, dashboards, and workflows.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and ownership mentality.
Preferred
Experience with marketplace advertising and promotional strategies.
Experience with ERP systems, inventory management software, and marketplace automation tools.
Experience scaling multi-channel e-commerce businesses.
