Head of Government Growth Strategy Adams County, CO
$180,000 - $210,000 per annum + equity

The Company
The company is a software-led business building technology for aerospace, defense and commercial platforms. It serves demanding customers across government and industry, is growing quickly and values working together in person.
The Role
This is a strategic, relationship-led position rather than a day-to-day sales role. You will help decide which customers, partners and channels deserve priority, and make sure the business is well placed early.
Define the long-term public sector growth strategy
Assess customers, partners and pursuits with rigorous, investment-style analysis
Build credible relationships with agencies, program teams and major contractors
Shape teaming and early pursuit approaches
Brief leadership on budgets, trends and competitors
Bring customer insight into product decisions
The Essential Requirements
Degree in engineering, business, public policy or a related field
5+ years in government business development, capture, strategy consulting, program leadership or a related technical-commercial role
Proven knowledge of the US defense buying environment, from government, industry or advisory work
Strong grasp of public budgeting, contracting and program execution
Credibility with both senior executives and engineers
Excellent written and verbal communication
Keen to work in person in a fast-moving business
What Will Make You Stand Out
Technical background in aerospace, defense or systems engineering
Strategy consulting or investment due diligence experience
Involvement in large, competitive government pursuits, including negotiating with primes
Experience with emerging technology companies
Active US security clearance
Established relationships across major defense primes and program offices
