Embassy of Beauty is a luxury beauty destination founded in London in 2018, dedicated to discovering the world's most niche and exceptional brands. We curate against three principles: authenticity, efficacy and transparency. Every product is tested by our team before it reaches a customer.
We operate a flagship retail and treatment destination on Kensington Church Street alongside an established direct-to-consumer ecommerce business, and we're now building Embassy of Beauty in the US from our Boca Raton office.
The Role
We are hiring a Head of Ecommerce & Marketing, based in our Boca Raton office, to lead Embassy of Beauty's ecommerce and marketing function across the US and UK. This is a senior commercial role with two distinct mandates.
You will build Embassy of Beauty's US business. The US team already includes an Operations Manager, who will report into this role. You will hire a Marketing Manager to complete the initial US team, and build out further roles in stages as the business proves itself.
At the same time, you will take over our established UK ecommerce and marketing function from day one, leading the London team remotely: E-commerce Manager, Graphic Designer, Content Manager. Acquisition manager and CRM manager. Your job is to lead the team, sharpen execution and maintain the performance of the UK business while based in the US.
You will report directly to the founders and own the group ecommerce and marketing P&L across both markets.
What you'll do
Build and scale the Embassy of Beauty US business from Boca Raton
Lead and develop the UK ecommerce, content and creative team remotely
Own the group ecommerce and marketing P&L, budget and KPIs across both markets
Lead paid acquisition across Meta, Google, TikTok and emerging channels
Develop and execute SEO, content, affiliate and influencer acquisition strategy
Own site experience, conversion rate optimisation and trading calendar for both markets
Make trading decisions on pricing, bundling and category focus
Hire a Marketing Manager and build out the US team in stages as the business proves itself
Who you are
Seven plus years in ecommerce, digital marketing or growth, with at least three in a senior leadership role
A proven, verifiable track record of scaling a direct-to-consumer ecommerce business, ideally in beauty, wellness, fashion or premium lifestyle, backed by contactable references
A genuine zero-to-one builder: experience building a US ecommerce business or function from scratch, not only scaling an existing one with an established team behind you
Deep technical expertise across Meta and Google Ads, with hands-on experience of paid social, paid search and programmatic
Proven people manager with experience leading ecommerce, content and creative teams, including managing a team remotely across time zones
Strong commercial and analytical mindset, comfortable owning a P&L and comfortable having your numbers checked closely, without getting defensive about it
Excellent written and verbal communication
Desirable
Experience in luxury, premium or niche beauty
Familiarity with Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, GA4 and modern attribution tooling
Experience working across US and UK markets or within an international group
Retention, CRM or lifecycle marketing expertise
