About the Company
Our client is an established and highly successful proprietary trading business with a strong international presence, recognised brand and proven technology platform. The company is now seeking to expand into prediction markets by launching a dedicated new division. This represents a strategically important growth opportunity, combining the organisation’s existing trading expertise, infrastructure and capabilities with the rapidly developing global prediction markets sector.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for building and launching the company’s prediction markets proposition. You will define the division’s strategy, develop the product and commercial proposition, identify product-market fit and lead the business from initial development through launch and scale. The role carries full responsibility for the division’s team, budget, revenue performance and operational efficiency.
This is a broad, entrepreneurial leadership role requiring genuine prediction markets expertise. You will combine deep knowledge of prediction markets, trading and risk with the commercial judgement, operational capability and leadership skills required to build a new business division.
This is a rare opportunity. You will be given responsibility and accountability for the launch and stability of the prediction markets division – to build the team, evolve the product suite, manage commercial and financial discipline, and operational efficiency. It is important that you have existing/ previous Gaming Prediction Market experience and can operate strategically while remaining closely involved in product development, trading operations, partnerships, regulation, risk management and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Devise, evolve and execute a strategy that meets strategic and tactical goals and delivers sustained commercial and business growth through market share and revenue performance, profitability and operational efficiency.
Leveraging existing prediction markets expertise and practical experience to launch and find product-market-fit to become one of the world's leading prediction markets businesses.
Act as the primary ambassador for the company’s prediction markets division, utilizing your extensive industry network to forge strategic partnerships with exchanges, liquidity providers, and key stakeholders.
Define and execute the long-term vision for the Prediction Markets division, identifying product-market fit and high-growth opportunities.
Participate in all stages of the product lifecycle, from market and product research to planning, positioning, roadmap creation, and successful launch execution.
Build bridges internally to leverage the company’s internal expertise while also relying on your external network to create opportunities.
Assess and propose new business processes required to scale up a prediction markets trading enterprise.
“Think like a customer” – show empathy and familiarity with what prediction markets traders want. Educate internal teams and drive towards exceeding customer needs.
Understand the risks of prediction markets trading for both clients and the company, and help identify and navigate these risks.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and vendor covenants.
Take full accountability for the division's budget, revenue targets, and operational efficiency.
Experience and Requirements
You must be capable of turning a significant market opportunity into a differentiated product, a high-performing division and a profitable, scalable prediction markets business.
Senior leadership experience gained in a similar position within prediction markets.
Demonstrable success launching prediction markets products or building and managing a trading division from the ground up.
Advanced knowledge of major prediction market platforms, instruments, venues, platforms and risk-management practices.
Deep familiarity with the modern proprietary trading industry and its relationship with prediction markets – including insights into customer behaviour and market expectations.
Experience interpreting complex trading data and using insight to refine strategy and improve performance.
Ideally, working knowledge of US CFTC perspectives, event contracts and prediction-market regulation.
Strong leadership, communication and mentorship capabilities.
A well-developed network across the prediction markets and trading ecosystem, including relationships with exchanges, liquidity providers and other influential sector participants.
Deep understanding of the evolving global regulatory landscape affecting prediction markets.
