Job description
Lead a global team of 40+ product designers and leaders across Australia, the UK, the US, and Singapore
Scale the product design organization’s practice, quality standards, systems, and culture globally
Hire, develop, and retain a world‑class design team
Expand the San Francisco‑based design studio
Work closely with the CPO to shape the product experience strategy
Own the design budget end to end, including contractors, tooling, learning, research, travel, and team building
Steward and evolve the design organization’s operating principles
Participate as a member of the Global Leadership Team
Requirements
Exceptional product and UX judgment from strategy through interaction patterns, information architecture, layout, and UX copy
Generalist UX background with strong product sensibilities
Track record of personally attracting, closing, and calibrating exceptional designers and design leaders
Experience in fintech or a comparably complex product domain
Experience managing senior design leaders across regions and time zones
Experience running calibration, promotion, and organizational design systems
Comfort with company‑level planning cycles, including OKRs, headcount plans, budgets, and leadership‑team collaboration
Demonstrates expertise in leading and scaling global product design teams, with a strong focus on UX judgment, organizational design, and strategic collaboration. Proven ability to attract and develop top design talent while managing complex budgets and operational principles.
