Job description
Head of Product Engineering & AI — JunoEdge
AH Group | Troy, MI |Full-time
About AH Group
AH Group is a vendor-neutral industrial repair management and MRO company serving Fortune 1000 manufacturing companies across North America and Europe. We manage industrial component repairs across a network of thousands of OEM and 3rd party service providers, source spare parts and supply, and we run the business on JunoEdge being our internal ERP and external customer inteface — our proprietary platform for repair management, parts tracking, part ordering, and inventory intelligence, built over six years around real plant-floor workflows.
JunoEdge is the strongest system in its category. The next chapter is making it a commercial product: with better AI-driven intelligence.
The Role
You will own the technical direction and delivery of JunoEdge. You will work directly with the CEO to turn product vision into shipped features, lead our offshore-based development team, and personally roll your sleeves up and build when speed matters. You will partner with our Product Manager — who brings deep operational domain and customer knowledge — while you own architecture, AI strategy, and engineering execution.
This is a builder's role with a leadership trajectory. You will be the most senior technical person in the company.
What You'll Do
Own the JunoEdge roadmap end-to-end: translate business priorities into technical specifications, sprint plans, and shipped releases
Lead and manage the development team — set standards, unblock, review code, and hold delivery accountable
Design and ship AI capabilities and analytics customers can act on
Write production code when the queue is backed up or a customer needs something urgently
Drive the product from internal platform to sellable software: multi-tenant architecture, security posture, integration layer (SAP, Oracle, Maximo, Business Central), documentation, and release discipline
Join customer conversations when needed to understand requirements and represent our technical capabilities
Bring your own ideas — as you learn the business, we expect you to identify opportunities we have not yet seen
What You Bring
5+ years building enterprise software — ERP, supply chain, procurement, asset management, or similar data-heavy B2B systems
Hands-on proficiency in at least one modern stack (Python, .NET, Node, or Java; SQL; cloud infrastructure on Azure or AWS)
Practical experience shipping AI/ML features: LLM integration, RAG, entity resolution, classification, or data-cleansing pipelines — not just experimentation
Experience directing offshore or distributed development teams
Ability to work with a non-technical executive: hear an idea, shape it, and return with a plan and a timeline
Product instinct — you care about what the user actually does with the software
Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment where priorities move often, decisions are made quickly, and ownership is real
Nice to Have
Manufacturing, MRO, or industrial services exposure
Experience taking an internal tool to a commercial SaaS product
Why This Role
Direct line to the CEO — no layers between your ideas and decisions
A real product with real customers — Fortune 100 manufacturers — already running on it
Greenfield AI work with immediate customer demand
A potential path to a CTO-level role as the company continues to scale
