$220-$250,000 and $380-$450,000+ OTE and brilliant benefits
Our client is a well-established, fast-growing global events and media business on a path to double the size of its Events & Sponsorships division. They are looking for a VP Event Partnerships to lead commercial strategy and drive the revenue growth required to hit that target - spanning a portfolio of executive conferences, sponsorships, ticket sales, partnerships, research, content, and digital offerings.
This is a high-impact, player-coach role for someone who thrives on opening new enterprise relationships, building trusted partnerships with C-suite and senior executives at leading companies, and creating commercial opportunities that scale an established business in new ways.
Key responsibilities include:
Owning the commercial strategy and revenue performance across a multi-platform events and sponsorships portfolio
Building a roadmap for pricing, inventory, and new revenue streams across events, sponsorships, partnerships, research, content, and digital products
Personally leading the pursuit, negotiation, and close of the organization's largest and most strategic commercial partnerships
Leveraging and expanding a network of C-suite and senior decision-maker relationships across Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies, agencies, and CMOs
Leading and developing a high-performing commercial team against multimillion-dollar revenue targets
Owning forecasting, pipeline management, and commercial planning across the portfolio
Partnering cross-functionally with Programming, Marketing, Planning, and business leaders to shape commercially successful events and offerings
We are looking for someone with the following experience:
15-20 years in sponsorship, events, media, or related commercial sales, including 10+ years leading high-performing teams against multimillion-dollar quotas
Proven track record selling content and sponsorship solutions, with demonstrated success originating, negotiating, and closing six- and seven-figure commercial partnerships
Deep, existing experience selling to C-suite and senior leadership at Enterprise level - Fortune 500/1000 CMOs, agencies, and other senior sponsorship buyers - with a proven ability to open new enterprise relationships
Strong background in commercial strategy, pricing, partnership offerings, and scalable revenue models
Experience leading commercial teams as a true player-coach - personally engaged in high-value pursuits, not leading from the sidelines
A disciplined, data-driven approach to sales management, forecasting, CRM utilization, and commercial performance
This role would suit someone who thrives in complex, high-growth environments and enjoys building structure, opening doors, and driving commercial impact at scale.
