Head of Provider Strategy & Operations
New York City | On-site | $200,000–$230,000 + equity
We are supporting a rapidly scaling, AI-first preventative health and wellness platform with the appointment of a Head of Provider Strategy & Operations.
The business is the first platform to offer personal training and nutrition coaching covered by health insurance. It has grown approximately 30x over the past year, raised $11.2m from leading venture investors and is now building the infrastructure required for its next stage of growth.
This is a highly visible leadership role with direct reports from day one and close partnership with the CEO and wider leadership team.
The opportunity
You will operate as the general manager for the provider side of the platform, owning the systems that determine how coaches join, onboard, develop, perform and remain engaged.
An immediate priority will be redesigning coach compensation and incentives to better align provider performance, client outcomes and company growth.
You will also:
• Build and scale coach onboarding, training and continuing education
• Improve provider retention, satisfaction, quality and productivity
• Design compensation and incentive models for a two-sided marketplace
• Use data, experimentation and financial modelling to improve performance
• Introduce AI-first workflows across provider operations
• Lead and develop the existing provider growth and coach success teams
• Act as a strategic thought partner across broader company decisions
We would like to speak with candidates who offer:
• 7+ years in strategy and operations, marketplace operations, general management, chief of staff or business operations
• Hands-on operating experience within a high-growth or VC-backed business
• Experience building or scaling people-intensive systems such as provider networks, marketplaces, distributed workforces, frontline operations or customer operations
• Strong quantitative capability across compensation modelling, incentives, forecasting and performance analysis
• Evidence of turning analysis into practical operational change
• Experience using AI tools to improve systems, processes and decision-making
• A high-agency, low-ego and genuinely hands-on approach
• An interest in health, wellness, fitness, coaching or behaviour change
Healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential. Relevant backgrounds may include healthcare marketplaces, consumer platforms, fintech, workforce technology or other businesses where supply-side quality and capacity directly affect growth.
Pure strategy or consulting experience without meaningful operating ownership is unlikely to be sufficient.
Package and location
$200,000–$230,000 base salary plus competitive equity.
This is an on-site role in New York City. Candidates must already have unrestricted US work authorisation, as visa sponsorship is not available.
