Company Overview
A discreet family office is seeking a Head of Tax to join their team.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the implementation of trust and estate planning transactions and oversee tax-sensitive transactions and entity-level reporting.
Serve as a primary relationship manager for high-net-worth individuals, families, foundations, trusts, and related entities.
Lead and execute complex, cross-disciplinary projects from a tax perspective.
Participate in negotiations and oversight of the family’s master credit facility and other debt instruments.
Lead preparation and presentation of foundation trustee materials and oversee tracking and fulfillment of charitable pledges.
Review quarterly personal financial statements through a tax lens and provide tax modeling and analysis on unique and complex assets.
Serve as an intermediate leadership layer, fostering a one-team mentality and providing mentorship and quality oversight to team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, finance, or a related field; CPA required.
15+ years of progressive experience in tax, accounting, and client service.
Family office, private wealth, or professional services experience strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with BNA Income Tax Planner and General Ledger Software a plus.
Proven experience leading, mentoring, and motivating teams.
Compensation
Salary: $250,000 – $350,000, Plus Bonus
